You can easily book a bus from Hanoi that will take roughly four hours. While it’s not a hugee Island compared to others, we recommend spending at least a few days there. You can get lost simply by watching the sunset or the fisherman work. If motorbikes are your thing, it’s a great way to see the city, you can even join a tour where you’ll pass small villages and get insider information. Going on treks is another great way to get aquainted with the Island and see breathtaking views. Cat Ba Island

Not many people think of going to Ninh Binh and are quick to decide to cross it off their itinerary but that’s a big mistake. If you really want to experience true Vietnam in all of it’s rural nature, then definitely book this trip to Ninh Binh. This place really is considered “untouched” compared to other touristic cities. You simply won’t find that many tourists or be caught in traffic and long lines. Get lost in the nature, see beautiful temples and take boat rides through caves and rice fields. When it’s time to move on, you’ll see it’s very easy to book your next connecting city to either Hanoi, Cat Be Islands , Da Nang at more.
