The trip was long and a good one to Jaco. On the way back, I was seated in the front row and saw the driver texting and driving, which I consider very dangerous. And at times, I felt the bus was going too fast. Traffic was heavy in parts and maybe to driver was trying to make time.

This is a good option if you are traveling alone, or with another person, to save money, going from San Jose to Jaco. Cheaper than a taxi. The driver was about a hour late. This is really common in Costa Rica, since there are definitely unexpected obstacles all the time such as accidents or construction. With that said, the company should know about all of this stuff and arrange accordingly. The driver was very friendly and got us there safe.!

It was nice to have tickets before getting to the bus station. We only had A/C on the return trip so going out was warm as we got out of the mountains and closer to the beach.

I ultimately got from Point A to Point B, but it was a bit of an adventure. Shuttle pick up was two hours later than scheduled. The original shuttle had a mechanical problem and had to be replaced. The driver missed one of the earlier pick ups and had to double back. And the company had me listed for the wrong stop (didn't match my confirmation). On the plus side: it was affordable and the staff was highly accessible/responsive to keep us updated on what was going on, so I'll chalk some of this up simply to bad luck.
