Border crossing from Peru to Ecuador
Crossing the border from Peru to Ecuador by bus is the easiest and most convenient way to get from Mancora to Guayaquil. Most tourist buses will cross at Aguas Verdes. They drive right through the border controls as you'll already have paid for your visa and shown your passport when you board the bus.
If you're traveling by private hire car or minivan, you'll need to show your passport and visa documents at the border. This can be a time-consuming exercise. You might also then need to cross the bridge on foot to restart your journey again in a different vehicle. There will be plenty of taxis waiting on the other side if you've not booked a follow-on vehicle with the same company.

The best way to get from Mancora to Guayaquil is by tourist bus. Reclining seat buses are run by Cruz del Sur and Civa. They're both reputable companies, and buses are kept to the highest standards of safety and cleanliness. There are usually 4 departures each day.
It takes from six to eight hours to make the trip overland. Bus seat prices start from $45. The trip can be made overnight or during the day.
Border crossings from Peru to Ecuador are the easiest by bus since you’ve already dealt with all that paperwork when you initially boarded the bus.
Taking a private car from Mancora to Guayaquil
If your budget isn’t tight, the best way to travel from Mancora to Guayaquil is by taking a private hire car or minivan. You shouldn’t have to pay more than US$50.
It’s a relatively expensive alternative to taking the tourist bus. However, you can be assured of much more privacy and convenience. This often appeals to families or groups traveling in South America.
