Phuket to Koh Kradan
Traveling from Phuket to Koh Kradan is the epitome of Thai island life. There is pretty much nowhere better to experience the best beaches in the entire world.
Koh Kradan is a tiny but popular island, and for good reason. It has immaculately clear cerulean waters, powder-soft white sand, and an impressive jungle backdrop to frame it all.
It’s peaceful and calm, and Koh Kradan is also a great place to set up camp if you plan to explore more of the Trang islands. You’ll never be too far from a speedboat that can whisk you away to another island.
The best thing to do here is relax and enjoy your time in the sun on one of the two beaches. There are some great watersports to try, like kayaking and SUP. But there is no shame in lazing in the sand, sipping cocktails, and reading a good book!
By now, you must be wondering, Well, how do I get from Phuket to Koh Kradan? Don’t fret. We’ve got you covered. Let’s dive in...
About the ride from Phuket to Koh Kradan
Koh Kradan is located on the west coast in the Andaman sea. Unfortunately, it doesn’t have an airport, so the only way to reach this slice of heaven is by ferry.
Even though it isn’t as close as some other Trang islands, like Koh Mook or Koh Ngai, there is a direct option from Phuket.
The distance from Phuket to Koh Kradan is about 114 km (~71 miles), and the ferry takes about 3.5-hours.
There are no cars on Koh Kradan, nor is there an actual port. This means the boat will drop you off directly on the beach, and someone from your accommodation will be waiting with a luggage trolly to help you get settled in.
Once you’ve made it to your hotel, the real relaxation can begin!
