Rach Gia to Can Tho

No trip to Vietnam would be complete without a few days along the mighty Mekong river. Can Tho, the capital of the river delta, is the perfect stop to add to your list.

The good news is traveling from Rach Gia to Can Tho is relatively quick and easy, at least by Southeast Asian standards. At max, you’ll only be subjected to a four-hour drive, which will be well worth it once you get there.

One of the biggest draws to Can Tho is the Cai Rang floating market. It’s one of the largest in the world, and Cai Rang has been around for over 100 years!

Vendors sell mainly agricultural products like fresh produce and coffee, but there are also boats ready to sell you some delicious Vietnamese street food and even clothing. It’s a must-see because it offers a glimpse of local culture along the Mekong. It totally immerses you in all the sights, sounds, smells and tastes that Vietnam has to offer.

After you’ve had your fill of breakfast noodle soup and shopping, head to the Ong Pagoda to fill up your Instagram page with some jaw-droppingly gorgeous photos.

There are a few historical sights to see, too. The Can Tho Grand Prison is a place to learn more about the impacts of the Vietnam War. You can also check out the Bihn Thuy Ancient House to admire stunning Vietnamese architecture.

Now all you need to figure out is how to get from Rach Gia to Can Tho. Good thing we’ve got all the info you need. Keep reading…
