The staff were super chill and nice. They came 1. 5h before the pickup time, so be ready at ur hotel to leave. The ride itself was super bumpy but manageable. It gets cold at night so I recommend to take long pants and a long sleeved shirt to change into. Take a small blanket or towel to lay on as well, it gets sweaty from the mattress but cold in the air, but they provide you with some blankets too.
Poor start - the communication pre-pick up was non-existent and no sign of the van by 5. 25am was a worry. The chaos collecting people around Chiang Rai was a joke - we collected the last person in our van at 6. 20am only 300 yards from our own collection at 5. 25!!!
The van journey was very good however, great vehicle. The border was chaotic but no fault of the company. We'd pre-booked visas so sailed through but then had to wait an hour for the people who hadn't pre-booked them. Frustrating.
The boat journey was funny but the chaos continued. We had a decent sized group of party-people (so much so that the beer supplies ran out on day two twice!) which was fine and all very good natured but if you wanted quiet it was tricky. All in all, I'd recommend this trip 100% but the organiser's communication, organisation and timekeeping was all terrible!!!
Very comfortable ride. Our only criticism was that the pick up was 25 minutes late which caused us some anxiety as we thought the van wasn’t coming and nobody notified us of the delay.
