The ferry terminal in Paros is found on the south shore of Paroikia's waterfront. It's quite close to many lodging, shopping and dining options.
Having a plan and prearranged accommodations will allow you to bypass the touts that will descend on you once you step off the dock. Once the initial frenzy ends, you can enjoy the town's laid-back vibe.

If you're island hopping through the Cyclades, chances are you're looking to enjoy some time at the beach. Determining the best time comes down to your budget and tolerance for heat and crowds.
Summer — specifically July and August — will obviously have the warmest weather, with highs hovering around 30°C (86°F). You will also have nearly zero chance of rain, which means lots of sun for your days at the beach.
The downside of summer is you'll also face greater crowds and higher prices. Yes, you'll catch the island at its peak activity, which is excellent for the party crowd. But if it's relaxation you're after, it might be a bit overwhelming.
The shoulder months of May and June, along with September, see a slight drop in temperatures, but nothing that would keep you from any water-based activities. On the plus side, you can still enjoy a festive atmosphere, but with only a fraction of peak season crowds.
If you timed your departures right, you could visit Paros as a day trip from Milos. But that would not be ideal, given all the island has to offer.
It would be far better to reserve at least two to three nights — more if you wish to use it as a base for exploring other beautiful islands such as Antiparos, Naxos or even Mykonos.
